Living Hell

The first draft of reflective imagery that invades my mind.

Sucked into an abyss of astronomical proportions, swirling downward feeling the heat on my feet. Relief would be to perish and never look back. But this would be too easy, they’d rather I suffocate in possession of the intrusive thoughts piercing my mind, leaving transparent holes of uncertainty and frozen whirlwinds harrowing at my reality and convictions.

Point the forks upwards, forcing the inside temptation to scream and surrender under the guilty burden, invisible shadows climbing on my back. The weight shrugs as a reminder not to proceed with the idea of liberation and freedom. It’s part of the torture, the false hope we feed on for survival is desired of course, but only left for balance, for sanity to stay before Hell is reached. Turning downward facing obscene flames which spit obscenities, hurting the soul and spouting the stench of foulness like a spike billowing the winds of heart strings.

Prying eyes look on as a devils intent. Look is a stab, a stab cutting the Flesh and swallowing entrails of red and gold. Flashes of yellow signals the explosion of the soul collapsing inward, shades of grey elope and revel in the mix of light. In my head a giant, but not necessary a tyrant, though the horns and hanging flesh give away past intentions, and deviance outgoings. Will his look spill towards me, igniting the hunger in the eyes. Or maybe I’ll be spared, increasing fear and anxiety of the soul. Part of the torment. Being flippant with lives. Being a false remorse, leering at me, the prey, the gift.

Spinning discs pass my neck with a flys width. Razors designated to maime and cause surrender. My face blanches, filling the bottle before it’s spilt…

Fight, Flight or Freeze

Sometimes panic sets in and you feel yourself sinking in the moment. Before surrendering fight to escape the feeling, don’t get trapped, accept the thoughts, watch them float by and proceed…

Take Flight

I wish I could stop the panic
rendering us frozen,
A shadow cast whole on the outside,
on the inside broken,
A deep pit feeling of relinquishing control – don’t,
It’s an illusion of our creation
convincing the soul to submit to the empty
and collapse,
In this moment flee,
for I know and see,
If the focus diminishes
and the grasp of horns
clutches at the chest
causing the body to surrender
then the fear has won,
Don’t let it, breathe in the pain
and run

Just smile…

Smile

A Smile is a beautiful gift
Designed to give life a lift,
A Smile can bring love to the dying
And comfort to the crying,
It can bring warmth to the cold
And youth to the old,
It can be quiet or loud
Make you stand out from the crowd,
An amazing natural energy of light
Causing the lowest soul to take flight

A Smile can bring calm to the mad
And happiness to the sad,
Make your greatest enemy dance
Giving hope and friendship a chance,
A grin that spreads from ear to ear
Comes from a place real and sincere,
It turns nightmares to dreams
Develops into laughter with screams,
Brings joy to all around
A feeling of music, with no sound

A Smile is unique and gives a person class
A received priviledge, not having to ask,
Gives hope to the deepest darkest dread
A gift shared with nothing said,
Turns the heat of the moment calm
A feeling of alone, turning to warm,
Share your Smile, let it go
It will light up the darkest soul,
Unleash the expression, don’t keep it
Reveal to all, your beautiful secret,
It’s an wonder and a gift given so true
Smile and the people will smile with you 😊

Pirates of the Soul

Swoops down seeking buried treasure
Love and angst, pirates of the soul
A timeless mutiny at the minds leisure
A trespassers paradise, a castaway troll

Violins play the music of the lost
Orchestrated wholesome, plays in a soft key
Capture traitors to the ailing, at any cost
Tsunami erupts as gallows blows free

Distracted and evaporated, starboard decks blown
Free will evacuated, biding its time
Life boat hatched, invasion well known
Waiting for the skirmish, waiting for the sign

Sails raised, waves carry ship to shore
Flags raised, revenge sets to board
Pirates pillage until truth reduced to crawl
Rescues flairs pulled and raised it soared

A shipwreck shattered but not broken
Released at last, steered from sharp reef
Small victory won but never spoken
Set sail again to ride the waves of grief.
